Exposure and training in laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive surgical techniques are fundamental to our training as gynecologic surgeons. Minimally invasive surgery has become the preferred approach for most procedures and therefore it is important we provide a dedicated curriculum to develop these skills. As the procedural volume of graduating residents decreases, it is equally important to ensure the understanding of surgery is more than the ability to reproduce a skill and this curriculum will aim to teach basic concepts to aid trainees in all surgical approaches and develop clinical decision making.
